Stela Blagova presents Indrishe at Sofia Gallery

From 12 to 20 September 2026, Sofia Gallery at Sofia City Library will present Indrishe, the seventh exhibition by Bulgarian artist Stela Blagova. The exhibition will be open daily from
11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.
The exhibition brings together Blagova's newest oil paintings. The works combine realist image-making with contemporary and artist-developed techniques, including subtle gold-
toned and shimmering effects. They convey a sense of goodwill and hope, while oil paint remains the artist's primary medium for developing the images' expressive and emotional qualities.
The title Indrishe refers to scented geranium and evokes associations with friendship, comfort, freshness and childhood. The choice of Sofia Gallery continues the artist's connection with a setting where paintings are displayed close to books, in central Sofia on Petko R. Slaveykov Square.
Stela Blagova will be present during the exhibition, giving visitors an opportunity to speak with her about the works. If she briefly steps away, a representative will be available to answer visitors' questions. Her paintings are held in private collections in Bulgaria and abroad.
